How bylines work here

A named contributor gets a byline on their own work, an author page, and a link to a profile they control. Bylines are never applied to pages the named person did not write.

Pages produced by the automated system described in the statement of editorial standards do not carry a personal byline, because no person wrote them. They are attributed to the publication. That distinction is the whole point of having a byline system at all: a name on a page has to mean a person is answerable for it, or it means nothing.

What a contributor needs

• A real, verifiable identity and at least one external profile the contributor controls.
• Named, on-the-record sourcing. Anonymous 'industry experts' are not published.
• A written disclosure of any commercial interest in the subject, published on the page.

A contributor keeps the copyright in their own work and can have it removed if the relationship ends. Their author page links to a profile they control, so the credit follows them rather than being trapped here.
